Vayne Cardas Solidor is the 27-year-old crown prince of Archadia and first in line to inherit the throne from his father, Emperor Gramis, his two older brothers having been killed in battle. Though he wields a considerable amount of authority, Vayne does not abuse his power; rather, he maintains that the welfare of the people is his foremost concern and tries hard to foster a positive relationship with the conquered Dalmascans. Nobuo Tobita provides the voice of Vayne in the Japanese version of the game.
